If you love truth, be a lover of silence. Silence, like the sunlight, will illuminate you in God.

On October 27, 2020, Bishop Michael Warfel issued a memo outlying the importance of continuing to social distance and to wear a face mask or shield when attending Mass. Doing so will help keep our parish churches open.

- A face mask is required for ages five years and older. The mask is only to be removed when receiving Holy Communion.
- Social distancing guidelines remain in place.
- Face masks will be provided for employees and volunteers.
Exceptions to the wearing of a mask can be made for the following:
- Priests presiding at sacramental services, especially the Mass.
- Children under the age of two should NOT wear a mask.
- Those providing Holy Communion to the hearing impaired. Those distributing Holy Communion are to wear a mask.
- Readers, cantors and others who have a speaking role at Mass.
Although counties with fewer than four cases are not required to follow the order, Governor Bullock strongly encourages these counties to do so to mitigate the spread of the virus.

Online Masses An Act of Spiritual Communion
|
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, not even if your whole world seems upset. If you find that you have wandered away from the shelter of God, lead your heart back to Him quietly and simply".

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
Our diocese is asking us to pray the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel after all Masses.
St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Prayer for Our Nation (U.S.A.)
God our father, Giver of life, we entrust the United State of America to Your loving care.
You are the rock on which this nation was founded. You alone are the true source of our cherished rights to
life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Reclaim this land for Your glory and dwell among Your people.
Send Your Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation's leaders. Open their minds to the great worth of human life and the responsibilities that accompany human freedom. Remind Your people that true happiness is rooted in seeking and doing Your work.
Through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, Patroness of our land, grant us the courage to reject the "culture of death". Lead us into a new millennium of life. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
