April 2017 - From Connor - St. Mary's, Raynesford
Fr. Paul asked Connor to write: "What did Lazaurs think of being called back....?"
I lie ensnared by walls of Dead,
Stone by stone, kept trapped in stone.
Soul abandoned, yet I remain. My
Body laid in vacant throne.
My voice is shackled, yet I hear
Child, what is this distress?
This stone is earth, made form by man,
Held by Spirit, chained abyss.
These bindings hold only the dead.
Eat my Words. Drink my Works.
The one beloved approaches still,
Bringing back what lies a corpse.
My ears are full with sounds about.
I hear Him: “Lazarus, come out!”
