Today, we celebrate the feast of the Baptism of the Lore, which signifies the beginning of Jesus's public life. This was the beginning of Jesus's Messianic mission to preach salvation. John the Baptist, the catalyst for this mission, acknowledged his role in the life of the Messiah by making way for the coming of the one who is sent to save His people.
